Support for optical touches (overlays and complete displays)

For standard operation your touch device needs no driver installation. Please connect the device with the supplied USB-cable with a PC. The operating system will automatically recognize it as a HID device. After a few seconds you will be able to use it.

Especially for overlays it will be neccesarry to calibrate the touch. The easiest way to do this is to press six times the <Scroll-Lock> key on the PCs keyboard. This will make the mouse cursor jump to a position close to the upper left corner. Touch this position with your finger for about a second and follow the same steps for the other three corners. Please not that on notebook keyboards very often you can reach the <Scroll-Lock> key only together with a <Function> key.

To use the touch device with MacOS please start once the software tool found at www.in-dis.de/?dl=nwmac.zip to start the calibration process.
To use the advanced touch features available with Windows 7 please install www.in-dis.de/?dl=nwwin7.zip.
The Windows 7 touchpack, containing multi-touch demo software, can be found at www.microsoft.com (please search for "touch pack").
In some cases it may be necessary to adjust the touch configuration or run diagnostics. This can be done with

FAQ

The operating system says "USB device not recognized"
The usual cause for this is insufficient power supply over the USB port, which may happen on some PCs. To solve this you can either use a powered USB hub (one that has a separate power adapter) or use a Y-cable to connect the device to two USB ports.

On Windows 7 the multitouch does not work
You need to install the appropriate drivers. Please see above "Additional software". Furthermore the application needs to support multitouch gestures. If the multitouch still does not work please check with USBConfig if Multitouch is enabled.

How does the right click work
Touch and hold your finger for some time in the same position. To adjust the required time or to disable this please use the USBConfig tool (see above).

The touch reacts too late or only on lift-off
When touching the screen the finger often moves a little bit. To prevent this from being recognized as a drag rather than a click there is a small threshold value which you can adjust with the USBConfig tool (see above). Try setting this value to zero.
