The touch foil for a unique touch experience

 

What does PCAP or PCT mean?

"PCT" or "PCAP" stands for "Projected Capacitive Touch". With this through-glass solution, a window or glass surface is made touch sensitive, so that the user can act through a screen as one would expect from a tablet or smartphone touchscreen. The touch foil is glued to the inside of a screen and detects touch from the outside.

 

Where are touch foils used?

Touch Displays, Touch Tables, Touch Overlays, Touch Displays in shop windows without thermal insulation (e.g. inside shopping centers), glass with touch foil and rear projection, Interactive Mirrors, Outdoor Systems

What distinguishes PCAP touch films?
  1. Totally insensitive to light and great durability
  2. Foil and electronics are protected by a glass panel out of reach of the user
  3. First-class design with a flat glass surface without shoulders at the edges

  5. Detects touches through glass up to 15mm thick, depending on sensor type

What types of foils are there?

We use all variations of Microwire and Metal-Mesh.
Depending on your project, we will select the touch solution, which is right for you.

Microwire
  1. Very fine wire mesh similar to a heated windscreen in the car
  2. Customer requirements can be individually realized due to a wide range of products
  3. Very flexible, bendable and rollable
Metal Mesh
  1. Wire mesh not visible to the naked eye
  2. Less flexible than Microwire, not rollable
  3. Good value for money

  4. Touch accuracy: about 0.5% of the sensor diagonal

  2. Cost-effective touch solution
  3. Finger distance: approx. 4% of the sensor diagonals
  4. Touch accuracy: about 1% of the sensor diagonal
  5. Object recognition not possible
