Retrofitting

Protect your displays from vandalism and weather

A protective glass is suitable for all areas in which a display can be damaged or get dirty by accidental or deliberate contact. Incidentally, this also includes simple information displays that are mounted at normal height and mistaken as touch displays (recognizable by the fingerprints).

With our protective glass overlays, displays of all sizes get a secure front glass and a sturdy metal frame to protect the panel. They can be easily mounted on already installed displays.

Optionally, the protective glass can be further enhanced with an anti-reflective film or anti-vandalism film.

As standard, our protective glass overlays are equipped with single-pane safety glass (SPSG). This thermally tempered white glass is much more resistant than conventional glass due to its special production. Should the pane give way, it shatters into small blunt-edged pieces, which reduces the risk of an injury.

Optionally, laminated safety glass (LSG) can be used. Laminated safety glass consists of at least two flat glass panes, which are bonded with a highly tear-resistant, elastic intermediate layer made from a film, so if the glass breaks, glass splinters adhere to the film. Their use is particularly recommended for higher-mounted displays to prevent falling glass splinters in case of damage.

For touch tables with PCAP touch foils

Imagine placing an item from your product portfolio on a touch table and it recognizes the product. It not only recognizes it, but gives your customers the opportunity to playfully and interactively acquire additional knowledge about the item. We are talking about object recognition. But how does the table or its integrated processor know which items are currently placed on it?

So-called tokens do the trick. They are attached to the bottom of any object, similar to a coaster. Contact points are embedded in the token, which can be recognized by the surface, due to the conductivity of PCAP sensors in our touch tables. Up to 6 tokens are natively recognized by our SKIN ULTRA touch foil. With its 100 touch points, the SKIN ULTRA is the only DISPLAX touch foil with integrated object recognition capability. The DISPLAX Connect configuration software is also included free of charge.

Talk to us, we will configure your touch-table including object recognition together with you.

The display stand with smart extras

With our Calla stands, you can firmly position your displays in any place or, alternatively, use it flexibly on castors. Our in-house designed Calla stand combines simple elegance with smart details. Its curved steel tube includes an internal cable guide - from the back of the display to a box in the base of the stand, where you can easily fit in a mini-pc. In the base area, there are no protruding parts that could cause tripping or injury.

Rotate your screen with Calla Flip

Optionally the Calla stand can be equipped with the Calla flip adapter plate. With this special plate, the mounted display can be easily rotated. So you can use your display in portrait or landscape format.

The optional FlipSwitch rotation sensor conveys the signal of the change in rotation to the operating system. Hence, the screen content adjusts to the new angle during the rotation movement. Just as we are used to from daily mobile phone use.

Structure and operation of our tables

xSlate (Touch insert for tables)

The xSlate can be integrated into your own table as a ready-to-use HID-capable touch unit, which leaves virtually all design options open for you. With up to 100 simultaneous touch points, several people can work at the same time completely independently and control one software.

We implement our xSlates using PCAP sensors. With a projected-capacitive touchfoil, a glass surface is made touch-sensitive, so that the user can act through a screen, as one would expect from a tablet or smartphone touch screen.

This technique is the first choice when it comes to first-class design, as it allows a flat glass surface without shoulders at the edges, and this with a display up to the size of 98''.

Infrared touch table

When the display size exceeds the capabilities of PCAP touch films, infrared technology opens new worlds. Design wise, this solution includes a 9 to 12 mm offset between the table surface and the protective glass.

The infrared touch is an optically based technology whereby hidden infrared sensors in a frame around the touch surface scan the surface for any interruptions. When the surface is touched with the hand or an object, the sensors detect that point of contact as the exact point of the interruption.
